THIS IS NOT A LECTURE

Bob Cook

" I've been at too many seminars and workshops were the presenter sprays words like a sprinkler and the audience takes home the few drops in their cup that they were lucky enough to catch. One-on-One workshops offer participants the opportunity to walk away with their cups full and over-flowing. That's my goal with this workshop." - Bob Cook

Some of the topics COVERED:

Making the Cut - Finding the Keepers

Composition and the Rule of Thirds

Size Matters - How Big is Too Big?

Shooting in RAW and How to 'COOK' it

Recovery of Highlights and Lowlights

Memories & Documentaries versus ART

How Sharp is TOO Sharp?

Getting Creative with Vignettes and Presets

Mastering the Adjustment Brush

Practical Considerations for Output

and much, much more!!

 What does 'One-on-One' Mean?

If you remember taking your driver training course, you'll remember the instructor occasionally hitting the brakes to keep you on track. Our workshop is similar in that you will operate the controls while Bob voices directions, shows by example and steps in with suggestions. Much like your first driving lesson, we will be perfectly safe with dual monitors allowing us to work together as a team.

  Workshop Format

3 Hours of Hands-On, Relevant, Conversational Learning

 Preparation for the Course

Participants should have familiarity with basic computer functions and controls including file management. In addition, it is essential that participants have explored the platform of ADOBE PHOTOSHOP LIGHTROOM 4 prior to registering for the workshop. Familiarity with Photoshop CS5 would also be an asset but is not necessary for satisfactory results.
